Marybourgh is 300 year old country hotel full of character in its own right, which is absolutely breathtaking outside and in. The staff were 1st class, exceptionally wonderful, they couldn't do enough for you. The hotel smelt beautifully through with tee lights lemon and jasmine. It was lovely decorated for Christmas with stunning trees everywhere. I took so many pictures, lovely roaring fire as you entered. When I arrived there on Saturday the 16th of November there was a beautiful wedding the bride was lovely.. Both the bar and restaurant were spectacular, and the food was outstanding. All staff were 1st class..my room was just perfect with a massive comfy bed. I would definitely recommend this absolutely wonderful hotel.full to be a lovely friendly, hard-working staff and its charm. I will definitely visit again when I'm over in the summer to visit my son and his girlfriend and family.. I absolutely had a fantastic time staying at The Marbrough Hotel and Spa.

We had a truly 5-star experience at the Maryborough. Starting with check-in, and throughout our stay, the staff was very welcoming and helpful. Johannes even insisted on taking our luggage up to our 2nd floor Junior Suite as it was in the older section of the hotel which has no elevator. The suite was magnificent with high, wood beam ceilings and a separate living room and bedroom. The large bed was very comfortable and had 2 electric fans to keep us cool. The suite amenities included a refrigerator with milk for the complimentary tea and coffee, 2 bottles of water and 2 bottles of wine (very unexpected and appreciated) and all the toiletries you'd expect from a 5-star resort. We enjoyed the complimentary access to the spa's Thermal Suites and a fantastic breakfast each morning. We also had a wonderful dinner 1 night at the restaurant. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely return should our travels bring us back to Cork.

Very nice hotel and Spa, located just a short drive deim Cork city centre in a nice part of the city surrounded by parks and residential area. The hotel grounds are beautiful, nice gardens with lots of flowers and it is quiet, even though there is a busy road just next to the hotel. The staff was absolutely great, arranged the rose petals in the room and greeted us with a bottle of bubbly and cake for our anniversary. We booked the dinner in Bellini's, a hotel restaurant, and the food was amazing. Again, two glasses of prosecco from the restaurant were complimentary. We were so grateful when the receptionist went above and beyond to help us identify the tree with most beautiful pink flowers which we decided to find and plant it at home. All in all, we will definitely come back as we didn't have anything to complain about.

The room and welcoming champagne was lovely, though we didn't get to open it due to our short stay (traffic took us longer to get there and we were exhausted). We sat outside for a beverage, but the staff never came to us to ask if we wanted food or drink, we had to get up and go inside the bar, but they did help every group that was outside other than us. I did see this and it was very obvious. That is why I did not give 5 stars... Not one time did they ask if we'd like anything (outside and there were 3 servers walking around, even brought cushions outside and didn't ask us if we wanted some on our chairs, but asked 3 other groups). Room was absolutely lovely, bed, large pillows and not the small ones, the scenery, the front desk was superb... but the servers were disappointing.

The whole experience was amazing. The room was outstanding, with great view to the garden and an amazing balcony. The dining experience was also incredible. The Thermal Suites, offered as a compliment on our stay, was a very relaxing experience and one of the best structures I've ever been to. But I need to say that out of all the things that impressed me on this Hotel, the main one was the staff. Luke at the restaurant, Laura at the Spa, Heidi who gave me the deep tissue massage, and especially Johannes at reception were able to offer of one of the best hospitality experiences I've had in my life. Kudos to every single one of them and whoever trained these people. Well done!
